Updates from Alfonso - Richmond Edition - Week 1
The 2014 Session has begun!
It’s very exciting to be back in Richmond for the 2014 Virginia General Assembly Session! This year, I've been assigned to the Militia, Police & Public Safety Committee and the Science and Technology Committee. I am also very proud to announce that I have been appointed an Assistant Minority Whip of the House Democratic Caucus.
Over the next eight weeks, I look forward to fighting for our values and priorities in Richmond.
As your Delegate, I will continue to advocate for women’s health and reproductive freedom, equal access to the polls on Election Day, safe & responsible gun ownership and developing new renewable energy throughout the Commonwealth. In addition, I will focus on legislation to help small businesses grow and thrive, improve access to a quality education, and work to create a world-class public transit and transportation system for our region.
