"The lower house of the legislature on March 8 adopted a resolution commemorating the 130th anniversary of the birth of Franklin Roosevelt. The measure was patroned by Del. Alfonso Lopez (D-49th)."
"The anniversary of his birth 'is an appropriate time to reflect on the beloved and inspiring leader who saved the United States from the Great Depression, led the United States to victory in World War II and forever changed the role of the federal government in the lives of Americans,' notes the resolution, which was adopted on a voice vote."
