ARLINGTON FIREFIGHTERS ENDORSE DELEGATE LOPEZ FOR RE-ELECTION IN 49TH DISTRICT
ARLINGTON, Va. — On March 12, 2019, the Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Association, Local 2800 of the International Association of Firefighters, endorsed Delegate Alfonso Lopez (D-Arlington) for re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates from the 49th district.
“Delegate Lopez has spent years championing the effort to ban toxic flame retardants, which threaten the health of both firefighters and children,” said Brian Lynch, president of the Local 2800. “He has proven himself a steadfast advocate for Arlington’s firefighters and we’re proud to endorse his campaign for re-election. Our community needs his experienced leadership in the House of Delegates.”
“Our firefighters put their lives on the line every day to serve the community and keep us safe,” said Delegate Lopez. “I’m deeply honored to have their endorsement and am committed to continuing my work in the General Assembly to ensure that our first responders have the protections and support that they need.”
