Last year, with support from business leaders, state colleges and universities, religious groups, immigration rights organizations, and education advocates, we came closer to passing the Virginia Tuition Equity Act than ever before in the House of Delegates.  It was passed unanimously by the Higher Education Subcommittee and received solid bipartisan backing in the full House Education Committee by a vote of 17-4.

Despite this strong bipartisan support, the Virginia Tuition Equity Act never reached the floor of the House of Delegates. The bill was moved to a different committee where it never saw the light of day and was killed on a procedural technicality without an up or down vote.

I need your help to make sure that doesn't happen this year. We need to build on our momentum from last year and make sure our voices are heard.
