Free DACA Clinics

4 Comment(s) | Posted |

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

If you are concerned about the fate of over 12,000 DACA recipients in Virginia, you can make a difference by volunteering and spreading the word about these FREE clinics in Virginia to help DACA recipients renew their status before the October 5th Deadline.

Two clinics are being held in our community. The first is at Culmore United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 17th. The second is at the Walter Reed Community Center in Arlington on Saturday, September 30th. I hope you can join me in supporting these important events!

Thank you for this. I have an employee who is impacted by DACA. He can't renew under the current terms, but it's helpful to know you're on top of it and will pass information along. So if anything comes up about what to do if you're expiring after the renewal window I'd love to hear about it. For instance is there a state that will let him get a drivers license in the interim? That kind of stuff.

I'm interested in helping, but I don't see any information on what the volunteers would actually be doing. I'd like to have some idea of this before I commit.
